Custom Coffee Table in Maple with Birdseye Maple Top

Modern coffee table in Vermont maple with a birdseye maple top. A custom order for a home in Stowe, Vermont.

I designed and built this coffee table for a couple for their mountain home in Stowe. The legs and aprons are hard maple (Vermont sugar maple) and the top was made from a really gorgeous and very wide board of birdseye Vermont sugar maple what has both quilted figure and birdseye (the tiny swirls in the grain).

I can make this coffee table in other custom sizes, as well different heights to go with your sofa height. I can also make it in other woods and would be happy to discuss options. I can make it in all one wood, or a different wood for the table top, to contrast with the legs and aprons.

I have also made a desk version of this design, with similar legs. I have made 8 foot long versions with three drawers, and another one here, and a 66 ” long version with two drawers.
