Meet Eric Diven, a Vermont furniture maker with a knack for turning unique visions into functional, handcrafted pieces.

Eric draws inspiration from Shaker and Arts and Crafts traditions, with a particular love for problem-solving through design. When he's not bringing a client’s ideas to life, he’s likely building sculptural lighting, clocks, or chairs—pieces that blend form and function with a quiet nod to makers like James Krenov.

He works out of his shop in West Fairlee, where he and his partner Bree have made a home tucked along the Cross Rivendell Trail. When he’s not in the shop, you’ll find him hiking through the Green Mountains, tending his garden, or cooking up whatever’s fresh from it.

Meet Walt Stanley, a self-taught furniture maker working out of a woodshop in the middle of a Vermont cornfield (yes, really!).

"People don’t believe me when I tell them my woodshop is in the middle of a cornfield, but it’s beautiful, peaceful, and a great place to get inspired." Walt and his wife, Michele, live nearby with their dogs, Trey and Maggie. After years of wearing many hats—from ski instructor to school bus driver—he turned his passion for woodworking into a full-time gig. When he’s not making furniture, you’ll find him out on his bike, clocking in 6-7,000 miles a year.
