Award-winning console table design in carved and painted poplar, painted poplar base arch, Tamo (Japanese quilted ash) top with hand rubbed poly-varnish finish. 32 ” high x 60 ” wide x 16 ” deep.
I have made three different versions of this design in the past, and this one is the most recent incarnation, and the wildest of the three in terms of color scheme. It was a custom order for a home in Betheda, Maryland.
The other two versions of this design were one with a sliver painted carved portion, black arch base, and quilted bubinga table top; and the other version had a carved ash carved portion with natural finish, black base arch, and a Tamo (Japanese quilted ash) table top. Please contact me if you would like to see photos of those pieces, or more detail shots of the table shown here.
This piece can be made in other colors and other woods for the top, as well as custom sizes. Please contact me to discuss those options further.
This table design won an award in the 2011 Vermont Fine Furniture and Wood Products Design Competition.
