Mid-Century Modern inspired coffee table in walnut with a Vermont slate top. This was a custom design for a customer in Norwich, Vermont.
19″ high x 48″ wide x 48″ deep (size shown in photos).
The walnut used to make this modern coffee table was a matched set of boards that were cut from the same log, to have similar grain and color throughout the table base. The slate top is mottled green and purple Vermont slate, with a lightly textured surface. The slate is also available with a honed surface, which is smooth and flat without texture.

Options for Customization:
This coffee table can also be ordered in a smaller and shorter size of 15″ high x 42″ wide x 42″ deep. You can also order the table in custom sizes, if you prefer it to be even smaller.
I can make the table base in other woods on request, and the table top can be made in other colors of slate, or other types of stone. The table can also have a wood top instead of stone. The table top can also be made in a different shape besides the square top shown in the photos. For example, the top could be a sort of rounded square – a square with slightly curved sides, or a circular top.
Please contact me to discuss different options. Pricing will depend on the type of wood, type of stone, and the shape of the top. Square table tops generally cost less than tops with curves, as cutting and finishing stone to a curve is more complicated to do, which adds to the fabrication costs of the stone top.
