The Guild of Vermont Furniture Makers membership is scattered from corner to corner across the breadth and stretch of the Green Mountains. Our furniture shops dapple the map… from the picturesque villages of southern and central Vermont, up to the Kingdom and down through the Islands. Some of us are pretty remote and our trusty companions keep us company while we work.
Last week a few of us opened our shops to friends from Route 7 Social. We’re prepping for a fresh round of studio visit blog posts. And while we spent a time talking shop, their sidekick Sophie enjoyed meeting new friends. We thought you might get a kick out of meeting them, too.
Hugh Belton’s pal, Boomer, just loving spring in Woodstock. Most serious game of fetch…
Pomfret VT. Amazing, beautiful place.
Josh Metcalf’s sidekick Sam keeps a watch on the place, First Edition Furniture.
Such contentment in these faces.
A trip to Plainfield to see Dave Boynton. Met his Lucy (above) and…
with a little coaxing, Barney.
And up in Isle La Motte, the McGuire Family of Furniture Makers were wrapping up the lambing season.
Great Pyrenees ‘Bear’ is at home with a troop of Katahdin sheep. All kinds of work going on.
Happy Earth day, from all of us – on two legs, and on four! And don’t forget… buy handmade for health, happiness and local prosperity. Our ‘friends’ will thank you for it… www.vermontfurnituremakers.com
