Well, this is my version of Shaker circa 1979. One of my first commissions and still one of my favorites. This is a yellow milk paint, it has a leather insert on the fall flap and some little drawers and pigeonholes inside. It was fun, and it certainly was yellow! We have made many pieces in the Shaker style over the past 35 years. It is actually one of the design inspirations I started with when I first began to build furniture … Below is our own kitchen also in the painted shaker style.
