8 foot long custom writing desk in Vermont sugar maple (hard maple) with three dovetailed drawers. The customer who ordered it wanted a very large surface to work on. It is 8 feet long x 30″ deep. The three drawers are hung on traditional Danish style solid maple slides that run on slots in the sides of the drawers that are waxed.
I can make this desk design in other wood combinations by request, and also in custom sizes, including much shorter versions. I can also design a completely new desk to suit your needs. I have also made another version of this desk in walnut with a cherry top, and stone drawer pulls.
