Vermont’s forests have always been the quiet beg Vermont’s forests have always been the quiet beginning of our work.

The same trees that cover Vermont’s hills find their way into our shops, where they’re crafted into something useful, something worth holding onto.

A new proposal from the Northern Forest Center is working to keep those forests healthy across Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and Northern New York. The goal is to help foresters and landowners care for the 25 million acres that make up the heart of our region.

For the Guild, it’s simple. Every piece begins with the forest, and that connection is worth protecting.

The kind of bed where even the monsters under it w The kind of bed where even the monsters under it would rather fall asleep 😴

The Gatsby Bed by John Lomas shows off soft curves, clean lines, and the beauty of natural wood. Built in cherry, maple, walnut, or white oak, it has a way of feeling both classic and inviting.

Take a look… if you dare 👻 Link in bio.

We’re ending National Forest Products Week with We’re ending National Forest Products Week with appreciation for Vermont’s forests. Their air, color, and the beautiful wood our makers work with every day. 🌲

When that wood is shaped by hand it becomes furniture meant to be used, lived with, and passed on. It’s one way the forest carries on in our homes.

Every custom piece starts with a vision. For this Every custom piece starts with a vision. For this Windsor style bench, Nick, of Petite and English, began with a sketch, then moved into digital modeling to get the angles and dimensions just right before building.

Maple for the turnings, pine for the seat, and oak for the spindles and crest rail. Each wood chosen for the role it plays.

A distressed milk paint finish ties it all together, giving the bench a look that feels both classic and made for its space.

From first sketch to finished bench, every step matters 🪑✨
