Big Red Chair

I built this chair for a promotional event for a local theater.  It is exactly a double scale model of my most popular chair, The Waltham Side Chair.   It is very durable and visually striking in an outdoor location.  The red color vibrates a bit against a green lawn and foliage.  It always attracts attention from families who love to take photos on it.  It is made of ash and poplar. It was a great experience to build as I shaped large versions of forms that are like old friends after making so many normal size chairs of this design.
