Pedestal in carved and painted poplar with a curly maple top that features intense, highly figured and satiny grain with a hand rubbed poly-varnish finish. The entire surface of the carving has a dynamic surface texture of controlled, hand carved tool marks. 

This piece looks great in an entryway or foyer, for displaying a unique vase, sculpture, a special plant or flower arrangements.
